Museo della Grafica di Pisa

N.B. 'Work in Progress' - Additional material may be added to this post!

The museum occupies the Palazzo Lanfranchi, an impressive 16th century building on the south bank of the river Arno - Lungarno Galileo Galilei 9, Pisa.
It is the building on the far left in the photo below which was taken from Ponte Della Fortezza looking towards Ponte Di Mezzo.

The opening hours in January 2014 were:
Tuesday - Thursday: 9 - 13.30 & 15.00 - 17.30
Friday:                     9 - 13.30 & 15.00 - 19.30
Saturday, Sunday   10 - 13.30 & 15.00 - 19.30

The inside of the building has been remodelled for museum purposes and includes areas of exposed brickwork and original wall frescoes. There is a new metal stair balustrade that casts decorative shadows. A lift or cloakroom were not found on my visit.

The 1st and 2nd floors contained the Dolce Acqua exhibition with a water theme (21/12/13 - 30/3/14). This included Japanese prints by Utagawa Hiroshige & Katsushika Hokusai. There were also photos by Carlo Delli including 'Ghiaccio Monte Serra' Monte Serra Ice / Frost (2001) - see below.

6 images from the Dolce Acqua exhibit could be found on the museum's website in January 2014 Dolce Acqua (Gallery)
